Deanne grew up in Manila, Philippines, where she studied architecture, fell in love, and met her husband, Dale. After becoming a licensed architect, she spent six months in Siargao, an island known for its beaches and surf culture. On the island, she worked as an interior architect which was a unique experience that allowed her to fully embrace her career while enjoying life by the water.

After the pandemic, Deanne sought a fresh start and a chance to reset. She made the bold decision to move to Canada on her own, without knowing anyone here at the time. This choice became a significant personal and professional milestone, and she has been building her life in Canada ever since.

After arriving in Canada, Deanne went back to school and completed a Business Hospitality Management program, expanding her expertise in operations and customer and member facing roles. She later worked in retail operations at the Vancouver Convention Centre, supporting cafés and event-based food service, while also contributing to marketing and graphic design work. 

Deanne now works at Pavilion Cowork as a Front Desk Associate, where she supports daily operations across all Vancouver locations while reflecting the company’s strong emphasis on hospitality. What she especially enjoys is that each Pavilion space has its own unique personality, serving diverse communities across different industries, yet all remaining connected under one brand. This variety keeps her work both dynamic and engaging.

When Deanne is in the space, she enjoys getting to know members and finding ways to better support them. Her previous experience as a barista taught her that something as simple as how someone takes their coffee can reveal a lot about their personality. She’s always been fascinated by how personal coffee preferences are. It’s a small detail, but one that can say quite a bit about a person.
