Meet Taylor Lee, Associate Creative Director at Spring Advertising:
Growing up, Taylor Lee always had a passion for the arts and sciences, which have been constants in her life. She has consistently drawn and painted using traditional methods and has developed a profound interest in biological engineering.
During her studies in biological engineering, the concept of designer babies emerged. While many of her peers were focused on being able to select traits like hair and eye colour, she was more interested in eliminating genetic diseases by replacing defective chromosomes with healthy ones. However, she soon realized that this career path would not lead her to help people how she desired.
Her professor at Capilano University and Studio Art recommended she pursue art full-time and suggested she apply to the IDEA program at Capilano University. The highly prestigious program accepts only 30 students annually. Although she wasn’t accepted immediately, she was admitted in her second year.
Upon graduation, Rob, the Creative Director Partner at Spring Advertising, hired her immediately.
Since then, Taylor has been at Spring for nine years. The company’s brand focuses on growth—growing its people, clients, and business. This philosophy resonates with her own journey. She began as a graphic designer and is now the associate creative director.
She loves the diversity of her work, handling projects for various clients, ranging from large corporations to small startups, such as the Four Seasons, Capilano Suspension Bridge, IGA, and more. She particularly enjoys working with startups due to the high level of creativity involved.
In Taylor’s spare time, she loves to paint on the side, doing pet portraits and paintings for local coffee shops. Every year, she makes time to travel with her best friend, who lives in Sweden, to visit a new country together.
If you see Taylor in the office, ask her about her most recent adventure with her best friend to Ecuador!
