Meet Ariadna Cancer, Bookkeeper for Workflow Books:

Ariadna was born in Spain and spent her childhood between Zaragoza, Spain and Guadalajara, Mexico. With her father’s job based in Spain, her family regularly travelled between the two countries, spending a few months each year in Mexico with grandparents and extended family.

This back-and-forth lifestyle gave Ariadna a unique appreciation for cultural contrasts from an early age. She grew up surrounded by the calm, relaxed pace of life in Spain and Mexico’s lively, social energy, which she considers the best of both worlds.

She pursued higher education at Escuela Castillo de la Yedra in Spain, where she studied bookkeeping, a stepping stone toward her current career. Later, she returned to Mexico to explore her creative side, enrolling in a dental technician program. Inspired by her love for art and sculpture, she found beauty in the precision and artistry of dental work and went on to work in the field for three years.

After visiting Canada several times since 2016 to see her sister and nieces, Ariadna fell in love with Vancouver’s nature and lifestyle. Wanting to be closer to family, she eventually made the move to live here permanently.

She joined Workflo Books as an apprentice and has since grown within the company. Workflo Books provides cloud bookkeeping services tailored to small businesses, giving entrepreneurs more time to focus on their creative and business pursuits. Ariadna now helps onboard and train new team members, manages client accounts, and ensures company operations run smoothly. She values the steady, flexible workflow and especially appreciates Workflo’s commitment to learning and employee growth.

Outside of work, Ariadna enjoys tending to her plants, creating sculptures, and spending quality time with her family. If you see Ariadna in the office, don’t be shy to say hi!
